Paul Logan, Elder

Paul moved to Hamilton from Cleveland, Mississippi. He is married to Shirley. They have two sons, Mike (Nashville, TN) and Steve (Colorado).  Paul retired from his boring job in 1989 and then really began living. He and Shirley opened Marion Travel, a tour and travel business, simply because they had always enjoyed traveling. His business has done very well. Paul is a graduate of Freed-Hardeman University.

Paul was appointed an elder of the Hamilton church in 1989. He is a great encourager. And like each of the elders at Hamilton, he is enjoyable to be around. He was instrumental in bringing Ron & Karen Clayton and the India Missions to Hamilton. In late 1998, Paul visited India for three weeks in support of the work there.

Steve Miller, Elder

Steve was appointed an elder in January, 2002. Steve was born in 1956  in McKenzie, TN. He graduated from South Side High School in Jackson, TN in 1974. After graduation he attended Freed Hardeman University for three years, and it was there that he met his wife, Judy.

After marrying in 1977, Steve transferred to the University of North Alabama in Florence and received his B.S. degree with a major in Accounting. After working several years, he continued his formal education, and in 1985 he received his Masters in Business Administration from Mississippi State University.

He is currently Cost Accounting Manager at Continental Conveyor in Winfield. Steve has worked at Continental since graduating from College in 1978.

Steve currently serves as a member of the Freed Hardeman University Advisory Board and is President of the Northwest Alabama Freed-Hardeman Alumni Association

Steve and Judy have been members of the Hamilton Church of Christ since 1981. He has been a deacon since 1985. His areas of work as a deacon have been in finance and the youth program. He has also been active in the Lads to Leaders program. He has taught Bible classes for college, teens, junior high, and is currently teaching an adult class. For several years he coordinated the Wednesday night devotionals and made announcements each week.

We are extremely proud of Steve and his growth and accomplishments over the years. He has served faithfully as a deacon and on many occasions he has provided valuable advice to the eldership in the areas of youth and finance.
